Monitoring Design

Each project is unique and therefore has its own specific requirements. Marmota is dedicated to suggest the most suitable measurement system which provides a maximum of safety for your project.
Marmota helps you choosing the appropriate measuring technology and designing the most efficient sensor layout in terms of accuracy, resolution and measurement interval. This may be also in combination with conventionally available measurement systems.

Installation

The installation of the proposed measurement system, especially for smaller projects, is normally carried out by Marmota personnel.
For larger projects with a repetitive installation procedure we also offer training for employees of partnering monitoring or construction companies. After this initial training period, Marmota acts as a supervisor for the whole period of installation.

Measurements

After the successful installation of the product, Marmota also performs periodic measurements. This includes the measurement itself and data delivery with a small report.
For permanent or automated monitoring systems, there is also the possibility to rent or buy measurement units, which will then be installed directly on site.

Interpretation

The interpretation of the measured data is often the most challenging part of such projects and further engineering judgement is needed. Thanks to our geotechnical and civil engineering background and many years of experience in design and consulting projects, Marmota is also able to provide such data interpretation on request.

Conventional measurements

Besides fiber-optics sensors, conventional measurement systems are often needed - either in combination or as a complement. Thanks to our geotechnical background, Marmota is able to offer these kinds of measurement systems, such as Inclinometers, Piezometers or Load Cells, its design, measurement and evaluation.
